Lucero’s Akoya Pearl
She is the straightest, most square girl we have seen. She stands tall and proud, with her head always above the others. She can't take a bad photo. What a cover girl!
Her fleece is beige with gold tips making her light fawn. When she was born her fleece had a pink glow, hence the name Pearl. The rarest of pearls have a rose hue, and that's our girl.
Her fleece character is much like what we have seen from her sire, FRA Lucero. Incredible shine, crimp, and soft density. Her crimp is consistent from her belly to her top knot and even down into her legs. Misty Maiden through and through. She shows evidence of soft rolling skin with no visible primaries.
At the TXOLAN show Pearl made her place. 3rd in a class of 12. Large and very competitive class. Judge's comments included "extremely fine fleece with terrifically consistent crimp". One of the finest in the class and one of the youngest. This girl has a successful career ahead of her.
3rd in a class of 8 at her first show, A-OK Alpaca Blastoff in Shawnee, OK. Judges commented on her very fine fleece and consistent crimp from her topknot to her tail.

Carlee will make a great foundation alpaca for any herd especially since she has had only girls! She has the sweetest face and is easy to handle. she has passed her color background to her second female. We have a beautiful light fawn girl with grey tips that fade at her legs and ears.

- Lucero's first cria are hitting the show ring and they are making a statement! Judges comment on his cria's fleece having soft handle, brightness and consistency of crimp. Lucero is a very prepotent male passing his wonderful genetics on to his offspring. This male carries the genetics of PPPeruvian Misty Maiden and 4Peruvian Black Magic on his sire's side (Desert Sun) and the Peruvian Drambuie and PPeruvian Leon on his dam's side. He settled his first females at 27 months of age. Lucero has an extremely soft handle and brightness to his fleece. His 2 yr. histogram is 19.3,3.1,16.1,0.6 Many judges have commented on the handle, softness and character of his fleece. His awards from many different judges speak for themselves. Lucero is now wholly owned by Copper Hill Ranch.
