Avanti’s Royal Peruvian Apolo

As you can imagine, true to his Accoyo bloodlines, he is a larger frame with larger crimp and great coverage. The added shine and staple length comes from both his dam and Royal Fawn. He is very fine. Apolo is out of an Accoyo Vengador daughter who came from the Pacific Crest/Accoyo America breeding program. She is a 1st Place Produce of Dam winner. His sire, Royal Peruvian Avanti, is an award winning male who came out of the great program at Stachowski Alpacas and now resides at Front Range Alpacas. He has been described by Anthony Stachowski as one of Accoyo Royal Avenger's very best sons.Accoyo Royal Avenger and Accoyo Vengador are two of the most respected herdsires in the country. Add in Peruvian White Out and Apolo's sire Royal Peruvian Avanti and you have a potent cocktail. You must also consider he carries a load of color from his dam's side. Let him bring softness and reduce the presence of guard hair with the ability to pass color.

Lineage

Dam: Accoyo America Elsie
  • Light Brown, 812510, Peruvian & Chilean
  • 1st place Produce of Dam winner, 3/4 Accoyo Daughter of PPeruvian Vengador, the son of the famous Shere Khan who sold for a then record $175,000 in 1998. "Today, many regard Shere Khan as the ultimate in huacaya type." (Alpacas: Synthesis of a Miracle, Michael Safley). Elsie is the product of the awesome Pacific Crest Alpaca's Accoyo breeding program. She is a great mom with excellent conformation and great density. She has phenomenal crias, we have shown pictures of them so you can see her great offspring. All from different sires! Her oldest is an award winner and now standing stud at Lone Star Alpacas(and looks just like her). Another son, Prince has herdsire duties at his new home, Dusty Creek Ranch. All her crias (from different sires) exhibit bold crimp and extreme brightness. Each of her crias have been stamped with her excellent conformation and proud stature. Her son Comet has herdsire duties at Able Oaks Alpacas.
Sire: Royal Peruvian Avanti
  • Light Fawn, 843767, Full Peruvian
  • Avanti is the golden cross of Accoyo and highly-select Alianza bloodlines. Grandson of the legendary Peruvian White Out and Accoyo Royal Fawn, he proves to be a sound genetic out-cross. A well-known alpaca judge says:"Let me tell you about his fleece- it has a fine, soft handle, high-frequency crimp with well-defined bundles, exceptional staple length, excellent density and brightness". We expect him to contribute both density and character to our crias and will allow only 5 outside breedings at our Colorado ranch each year. At 5 years of age, Avanti's histogram shows remarkable uniformity with the standard deviation at only 4.5 microns and the CV at 18.8%, much lower than the "normal" SD of 5 and CV of 20. This is the sort of fiber that we need to be passing on in the National Herd!! His excellent density and bundling was recently proven by a skin biopsy. Avanti now has 32 registered crias, all with outstanding fiber.
