We have long been obsessed with Galliano’s sire, Sunny Mesa’s Tuscan Gold, so when the opportunity to purchase Galliano arose, we couldn’t resist. Galliano is the closest thing to Tuscan’s clone, which is great given that Tuscan was still a 20 micron at almost 12 years old when he passed away.
Galliano has strong bone, flat topline, stunning upright presence, straight legs, perfect bite, and a gorgeous head. He is just all cuteness wrapped up in an excellent package that sure has heads turning, and judges noticing. Besides his outward phenotype, when his fleece is parted it exceeds his looks. His fleece is extremely bright, super fine, and has high frequency with bundles inside of bundles, and long staple with uniformity in micron. This fleece seems to melt in your hand.
His quality is not a surprise. His dam, Nicolette, a Royal Peruvian Apollo daughter out of an import female, has produced a number of stellar cria with Tuscan Gold.
Galliano hit the show ring in 2014 and the judges noticed! He won five banners in his show career and was still winning, TxOLAN 2017 Color Champion, when he was retired to herdsire row. We expect great things from this beautiful male!
