Two longtime breeders, three fabulous modules, one fun-filled day!

Treat yourself to a day full of all things camelid! Compare and contrast two totally different herdmanship styles and get the goods on everything they’ve gotten right (and wrong) about alpaca farming.

In module 1, you’ll learn how to set up your goals and future plans for alpaca ownership, how to build and develop facilities that will make your job easier moving forward, and basic care and upkeep once the alpacas arrive.

In module 2, be prepared for a full-on course centered on breeding, showing, training, and fiber. Delve into how to select breeding and fiber production stock, unlock the mysteries of EPDs, and begin to develop an eye for good, quality alpacas. You’ll also learn what judges look for in the show ring and how to begin training for the big day.

In module 3, you’ll get hands-on practice with skirting and sorting fiber, how to prepare your fleeces for the show ring or mill, and discover new ways to make use of your harvest.
